Gary Flomenhoft

Gary Flomenhoft aka Gary Flo is a veteran of over 10,000 miles of ocean sailing including a delivery from Seattle to Miami via the Panama Canal.     He most enjoys sailing to new destinations, and seeing the incredible marine life such as whales, dolphins, rays, sunfish, sea birds, etc. To him sailing is a great way to travel as well as get in touch with the forces of nature and enjoy the serenity of a quiet anchorage at sunset. It’s all about quality of life. He has sailed the Caribbean, New England, Lake Champlain, as well as the California coast.

Gary has been a charter captain and US sailing instructor for 10 years in Wellfleet, MA, and holds a Master 50 ton Coast Guard license with sailing endorsement. He is certified to teach US Sailing basic keelboat, basic cruising, bareboat cruising, and coastal navigation, and is available to teach all these courses through Cape Cod Sailing School.
