Private Charters

Cape Cod Sailing School offers private sailing charters on a number of different sailboats, depending on availability at the time.

A coast guard licensed captain will sail the boat for you, and they’ll check the weather, and talk over with you on the day of the charter and you’ll decide together where to go, and what adventures your trip will contain. If you would like to take the wheel and trim the sails we will be happy to show you how to join in with the joy of sailing. Sailing from Kingman Yacht Center in Buzzards bay there are a number of options depending on the length of the trip. We can head out into the bay and sail around for as long as you like, or pull into a nearby bay and drop anchor and swim off the boat, or even tow a dinghy with us and ferry the party ashore in another port.

A maximum of 6 passengers are allowed on the boat, but we can be flexible with children. Lifejackets are available for all passengers; they’re recommended for anyone who doesn’t swim, and required for children under 12.

You are welcome to bring food and drink with you. Please wear sunscreen. The sunshine reflecting from the water can really enhance your tan!

Day sails are a minimum of 2 hours and typically a maximum of 4 hours, but if you have some other plans, lets discuss. Anything is possible.

Charter fees are $100 per hour. We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.

In the event that the weather isn’t good for sailing on the day you have scheduled, we will try to reschedule to a better day. If no suitable day can be found, your deposit will be returned in full.
